NARRATIVE SUMMARY
-
1-5 August 1969 - HMM-364 flew 1,075 sorties for 262.3 flight hours, lifted 101.8 tons of cargo, 2,427 troops/passengers, and expended 4,000 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance.  Seventy-seven  Medevac  missions  carried 30 Emergency,  53 Priority and 39 Routine evacuees.

6-10 August 1969 - HMM-364  flew  1,078  sorties  for  286.1  flight  hours, lifted 223.2 tons of cargo,  2,203 troops/passengers,  and expended 2,300 rounds of .50 caliber  ordnance.  Fifty-nine  Medevac  missions carried  50 Emergency,  37 Pri- ority and 46 Routine evacuees

11-15 August 1969 - HMM-364  flew  790  sorties  for  197.3  flight  hours,  lifted 119.7  tons  of  cargo,  861  troops/passengers  and expended  negative ordnance. Seventy-eight  Medevac missions carried 71 Emergency,  68 Priority and 51 Rou- tine evacuees.

16-20 August 1969 - HMM-364 flew 861 sorties for  238.2 flight hours, lifted 73.7 tons of cargo, 1,706 troops/passengers and expended  1,700 rounds of .50 caliber ordnance.  Fifty-two Medevac missions carried 49 Emergency, 30 Priority and 35 Routine evacuees.

21-25 August 1969 - HMM-364 flew 689 sorties for  191.6 flight hours, lifted 63.5 tons  of  cargo,  846 troops/passengers  and expended  200 rounds  of .50  caliber ordnance.  Sixty-five  Medevac missions  carried  77 Emergency,  88 Priority and 30 Routine evacuees.

26-31 August - HMM-364 flew  958 sorties for 309.7 flight hours, lifted 36.5 tons of  cargo,  1,824  troops/passengers,  and  expended  3,350 rounds of  .50  caliber ordnance.  Eighty-six  Medevac  missions  carried  107  Emergency,  134 Priority and 69 Routine evacuees.

To recap,  HMM-364 flew 5,451 sorties for 1,485.2 flight hours during the period 1-31 August 1069, with an average aircraft availability of 10 aircraft lifting 9,867 troops/passengers  and  627.4 tons of cargo.  A  total of  417  Medevac  missions carried  384  Emergency,  410  Priority  and  270  Routine  evacuees.    All  flight activity was  in support of  Operations and Units  as follows:  Pipestone Canyon, Victory Dragon, III MAF, 1st MarDiv, MAG-16 and HMM-364.

Intelligence

The  Squadron Intelligence Section  received and  recorded intelligence informa- tion on a daily basis for adjacent and higher headquarters through pilot debrief- ings, spot reports and intelligence documents.

During  this reporting period there were  89 enemy fire incidents directed against squadron  aircraft  resulting in 5  aircraft being hit with  hostile fire and  one air- craft being hit with a RPG round.

The Squadron area received negative incoming hostile fire.

A narrative of  this section's activities is as follows:  attended briefings  at higher headquarters,  conducted  liaison  with  adjacent  units,  briefing and  debriefing pilots,  presenting a  weekly summary  of  the general  enemy situation,  and  the routing of  messages and documents of intelligence value to appropriate sections and personnel.
